Japan
Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone, Hokkaido — and the routes between them.
Japan is unlike anywhere else. The combination of exceptional food, meticulous service, cultural depth and natural variety is singular. It rewards repeat visits — the country reveals different layers depending on season, region and how slowly you travel.
Cherry blossom (late March to mid-April) and autumn foliage (mid-October to mid-November) are the most celebrated seasons. Winter in Hokkaido (January–February) is exceptional for powder skiing and onsen.
We do not recommend rushing Japan. For a first visit, we usually suggest Tokyo and Kyoto, each for at least three nights — with one night in Hakone if time allows.

Our View on Japan
Japan is one of our favourite destinations. The quality of service, food and hotel design is consistently excellent. For families with older children, it is remarkable. For couples seeking a slow cultural immersion, Kyoto in autumn is extraordinary.
