France
Paris, Provence, the Côte d'Azur and the Bordeaux wine country.
France has more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other country, more UNESCO World Heritage Sites than almost anywhere, and a landscape that shifts dramatically from alpine to Mediterranean within hours.
June and September are our preferred months. July and August in the south are beautiful but busy. Paris is wonderful almost year-round.
Paris to Provence is a natural pairing. For longer trips, adding Bordeaux or the Loire Valley makes sense. The Côte d'Azur is better in May or September than in August.

Our View on France
France is best experienced slowly. Renting a house in Provence for a week, rather than moving hotels every two nights, tends to reveal a side of the country that hotels alone cannot.
